High Temperature Protection for Printed Images Against Harsh Environments

Label overlaminates are used to protect information and graphics from many different extreme environmental conditions including abrasion and chemical attack. Polyonics, specializing in harsh environments, has designed overlaminating films to have superior resistance to high heat, organic solvents and chemicals. Designed for a variety of applications we offer a high temperature clear film along with the oltra high temperature amber film.

High temperature CLEAR overlaminates maintain true color and still protects in the high temperature environment. High temperature AMBER overlaminate is an excellent choice for applications where informational color is not important but long term extreme cold or high temperature exposure is required.

Polyonics currently offers five standard overlaminating film options.

• XL-1501- 1 mil AMBER film with a 1 mil acrylic adhesive designed for service temperature of 150°C.
• XL-1502- 2 mil AMBER film with a 2 mil acrylic adhesive designed for more abrasion resistance and textured surfaces with service temperature of 150°C
• XL-1561- 1 mil AMBER film with a 1 mil aggressive acrylic adhesive designed to withstand harsh chemical immersion and high heat with service temperature of 150°C
• XL-1600- 2 mil CLEAR film with 1 mil adhesive designed to protect labelsand signs in high heat applications and not change the appearance of labels where color graphics or small print are needed.
• XL-1601- 2 mil CLEAR film with 1 mil adhesive for extreme cold, hot or chemical exposure is expected and labels have color graphics that need enhanced protection.
