About Printing.....

The printing process you choose will dramatically influence the durability of the printed image. For the last 25 years or so, thermal transfer printing has been perhaps the most widespread printing technology used for industrial barcode label identification, during manufacturing processes 'on the shop floor'. Polyonics offers a wide variety of coated label materials that are designed for thermal transfer printing. When used with the properly "matched" thermal transfer ribbon these labels can withstand high temperatures, and the harshest cleaners and solvents. Polyonics standard materials comply with the RoHS and WEEE initiatives, meet the appropriate specifications of ASTM, PSTC, select MIL-STD's, have UL recognition as well as other unique standards and specifications. Polyonics' coating technologies have also been successfully used with flexographic, ink jet, hot stamping, HP/Indigo, and laser (dry toner) printing processes for specific, customer-confidential applications.
