Description: Polyonics XF-582 is a polyimide label material coated with a permanent pressure sensitive acrylic adhesive and a high opacity, medium gloss white topcoat specifically designed for thermal transfer printing. (NOTE:Kapton is DuPont's brandname for its polyimide label film)
Bar code labels made from XF 582 polyimide labels demonstrate excellent performance in lead free wave solder environments, which range from 260 C - 290 C.

Polyonics XF-582 polyimide label material is designed for barcode or alphanumeric identification of printed circuit boards.

XF-582 is the ideal Kapton label or polyimide label to withstand mixed circuit board processes, and is recommended for direct contact with molten solder.

Kapton labels made from XF 582 exhibit excellent resistance to harsh fluxes, cleaners, and Saponifiers in Wave solder, SMT, or hybrid manufacturing processes.

Polyimide labels from XF 582 resist all commonly employed methods of cleaning.

XF-582 polyimide labels pass MIL-STD-202F method 215J, when matched with the proper ribbon. The printed polyimide label resists smearing, even when the board and label are directly removed from a reflow or wave solder environment.
