FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
POLYONICS,
Inc. Introduces TRIBOGARD
STATIC DISSIPATIVE PRINTABLE Kapton®
for Circuit Board Bar Code Labels
Westmoreland,
NH -- POLYONICS, Inc., announced two new STATIC DISSIPATIVE thermal
transfer printable polyimide Kapton® label materials. This material
reduces the amount of electrostatic discharge (ESD) generated to
less than 25 volts. This safe operating level helps eliminate potential
damage when labeling electronic components, PCBs, component storage
tubes and reels, and other packaging. These materials meet the requirements
and definitions of EIA-625 and EIA 541 standards, as well as EOS/ESD
S11.11 specifications.
Two
new products of the TRIBOGARD® family:
XF 781, based on a 1 mil polyimide film, and XF 782, based on a
2 mil polyimide film. Both of these polyimide label materials can
withstand process temperatures of up to 1,000° F.
Labels
converted from either of these materials, when printed with the
proper thermal transfer ribbon can withstand the harshest solvents,
cleaners, fluxes, and saponifiers, even without overlamination.
