Polyimide label and Kapton^® label materials can generate up to 10,000 volts of static electricity by peeling them from the release liner. Polyimide labels can act as dielectric surfaces. Polyonics' TRIBOGARD^® technology eliminates both ESD problems: less than 25 volts by peeling; and static dissipative label surfaces.
Harsh environment bar code labels can be produced with thermal transfer printers when matched with the appropriate thermal transfer ribbons without lamination by a label lamination machine.
