Enhanced antistatic technologies protect against two types of electrostatic discharge (ESD) events that a standard label can potentially cause on electrostatic sensitive components, boards and electronic devices.
- TRIBOGARD® label technology prevents significant static charge build up on the adhesive as it is peeled from the liner. The reduced charge minimizes the potential for a discharge when the label is applied.
- TRIBOGARD® topcoat technology is designed to minimize the charge build up on the surface of the label during the life of the label. The reduced charge minimizes the potential for a discharge after the label is applied and the electronic device is in use.
Antistatic labels used on high value electronic components or devices that are intended to prevent a static discharge during label application and/or during the label life (post application) will reduce the cost associated with waste from ESD damage and customer dissatisfaction (after sale).
XF-781 and XF-782 materials with a semi-gloss, white thermal transfer printable coating pass MIL-STD-202G, Notice 12, Method 215K, MIL-STD-883E, Notice 4, Method 2015.12 coating RoHS, REACH, PFOS, JIG compliant and Halogen Free. These antistatic label materials are UL 969 recognized.
